JOHANNESBURG, Apr 8, 2026 – Cassava Technologies has launched Africa’s first partner experience centre powered by Google Cloud in Johannesburg, seeking to deepen the rollout of cloud and artificial intelligence solutions through a wider partner network.
The facility, operated by Cassava’s cloud unit Liquid C2, is designed to move resellers beyond traditional distribution by providing hands-on access to enterprise-grade tools, engineering expertise and certification pathways. Partners will be guided through a structured programme to obtain Google Cloud accreditation while co-developing solutions tailored to African markets.
Once developed, these products will be deployed through Liquid’s distribution channels, a model the company says is intended to accelerate time to market and open new revenue streams for partners.
The centre also provides access to advanced AI capabilities, including Google Cloud’s Gemini models, alongside dedicated environments for testing and prototyping. It is positioned as a collaborative hub where enterprises, startups, developers and public institutions can build sector-specific applications across industries such as financial services, healthcare and retail.
Ziaad Suleman, chief executive for South Africa and Botswana at Cassava Technologies, said the initiative combines global technology with local infrastructure to expand access to digital tools. Tara Brady, president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Google Cloud, said the partnership reflects growing demand for stronger ecosystems to support digital transformation.
The launch comes as businesses across Africa increase investment in cloud computing and AI to improve efficiency and competitiveness. The company said the initiative would support job creation by expanding the pool of certified engineers and strengthening local technology ecosystems, as it broadens access to cloud and digital infrastructure services across the continent.
