LAGOS, May 22 – Paystack has rolled out a major update to its merchant Dashboard for the first time in 10 years, adding a new AI-powered tool that helps businesses understand their transactions and manage operations more easily.
The company said the redesigned Dashboard now has a simpler layout, easier navigation, and full mobile access, allowing merchants to use all features on both phones and computers. A key feature of the update is an AI Command Centre, which lets users ask questions about their business, such as sales trends or customer activity, and get answers in charts, tables or text.
Paystack said the tool is designed to work directly with real business data, not general AI outputs, to ensure accuracy and reduce errors. It also added safety checks that review requests before responses are generated, blocking harmful or unsupported queries.
Senior product designer Dara Assim-Ita said the new system was built to match how business owners actually think about their operations, instead of forcing them to move through multiple pages to find answers.
The Dashboard has also been reorganised into two main sections: Payments which covers transactions, refunds and settlements, while Products which hosts newer services such as transaction splits and upcoming services that the company plans to roll out.
Paystack said the redesign was completed in about five months, following months of research into how merchants use the platform and where they struggle most.
The company added that more features will be moved into the new system over time as it continues to expand its AI-driven tools for businesses.
