ABUJA, Jan 28 – NCR Nigeria Plc returned to profit in 2025 after a steep fall in administrative expenses, according to unaudited full year results released on the Nigerian Exchange.

Profit after tax came in at ₦196 million, compared with a net loss of ₦2.172 billion in 2024. Earnings per share rose to 1.82 kobo, reflecting the turnaround in a year when the stock recorded a sharp price increase on the local bourse.

Revenue from contracts with customers climbed 43% to ₦3.081 billion from ₦2.149 billion a year earlier. However, higher direct costs reduced the impact of the revenue gain. Cost of sales rose 84.72% to ₦2.806 billion from ₦1.519 billion, which pushed gross profit down 56.3% to ₦275.6 million. As a result, gross margin fell to 8% from 29%.

Other income declined to ₦6.182 million from N60.629 million. Even so, the company reduced some operating costs. Distribution expenses fell 60% to ₦28.108 million from ₦69.675 million, supporting the bottom line.

The company reported no income tax charge, leaving profit after tax broadly in line with pre tax profit.

Meanwhile, total assets rose 76.5% to ₦7.8 billion from ₦4.4 billion, with trade and other receivables of N5.6 billion forming the largest share. On the liabilities side, total obligations increased to ₦12.4 billion from ₦9.2 billion, led by trade and other payables of ₦9.7 billion.
