ABU DHABI, June 23 – Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has held high-level discussions with Aliko Dangote, President and Chief Executive of Dangote Group, as both organisations explore opportunities to deepen strategic cooperation across the energy and industrial sectors.
The meeting took place at ADNOC’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, where Dangote met with ADNOC Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.
According to ADNOC, the discussions focused on strengthening collaboration to support industrial growth, enhance energy systems and promote long-term economic development.
The engagement reflects growing commercial ties between Gulf energy companies and African industrial groups as both regions seek to expand investment, improve energy security and accelerate industrialisation.
Dangote Group has significantly expanded its footprint across the energy value chain in recent years through investments in refining, petrochemicals and fertiliser production, positioning itself as one of Africa’s largest industrial conglomerates.
ADNOC, one of the world’s leading energy companies, has also accelerated its international investment strategy by pursuing partnerships that support energy infrastructure, downstream development and sustainable industrial growth.
The meeting highlights the increasing importance of cross-regional partnerships between the Middle East and Africa as governments and private sector leaders work to strengthen supply chains, support industrial expansion and drive long-term economic prosperity.
