LIBREVILLE, Mar 7 – A delegation from the International Monetary Fund has concluded discussions with officials from Gabon on the country’s economic outlook and ongoing reform efforts.

The IMF said its staff team met with Gabonese authorities in Libreville to review recent macroeconomic developments and assess policy measures aimed at strengthening the country’s economic framework.

During the talks, both sides examined progress on reforms designed to improve public financial management, enhance governance and support sustainable economic development.

The discussions also emphasized the importance of maintaining disciplined fiscal and financial policies in order to safeguard macroeconomic stability both in Gabon and across the broader Central African region.

According to the IMF, continued policy engagement with Gabon’s authorities will take place in the coming weeks as part of the ongoing dialogue on economic reforms and development priorities.

Further consultations are expected during the upcoming IMF Spring Meetings, where global policymakers gather to discuss economic conditions, financial stability and international development challenges.
